Damon served as the interim head coach in 2024-25. Under his leadership, NMU had its best individual finish in program history when Yu Sakamoto took 3rd place at nationals. Alissa Caltagirone took 8th while Kailyn Garrett also competed on the national stage. The 'Cats also found success in the classroom, with seven being named as NWCA Scholar All-Americans.Â
