Biography
2023-24
Indoor:
- Ran in six indoor meets including the GLIACÂ Championships where she took 14th in the 5000m with a PR of 18:11.53 while also taking 16th in the 3000m
- At the Early Bird Open, she took 4th in the 3000m and 6th in the 5000m
- Also in the 5000m, she took 2nd at the WCW Meet, 4th at the Maverick Premier, and 6th at the SVSU Jet’s Pizza Invite
Outdoor:
- Ran the 5000m at four meets
- Took home 1st place at the St. Norbert Invitational with a time of 19:33.59
- Placed 16th at the GLIAC Championships with a time of 18:33.64
2022-23
Indoor:
- Participated in seven indoor meets
- Earned her first collegiate victory in the 3000m at the UW Oshkosh Early Bird Invite with a time of 10:59.34
- Took 15th in the 5000m at the GLIAC Championships
- At the WCW Meet, she placed 4th in the 5000m with a time of 18:48.49
Outdoor:
- Ran in five meets throughout the season
- Placed 7th in the 1500m at the UW Whitewater Drake Alternative
- Participated in the GLIACÂ Championships where she took 10th in the 5000m
2021-22
Indoor:
- Ran the 3000m steeplechase at the UW Oshkosh Early Bird Invite, where she finished in 3rd with a time of 11:15.60
Outdoor:
2020-21
Indoor:
- Helped NMU take 2nd place in the DMR at the Jet's Pizza Invite, finishing with a time of 13:31.58
- Placed 8th in the mile at the SVSU Tune-Up Meet with a time of 5:35.53
Outdoor:
- Took 16th place at the GLIAC Championships in the 5,000m
Before NMU
- Four-year varsity runner in both Cross Country and Track & Field
Cross Country:
- Two-time First-Team West-PAC runner
- Three-time All-U.P. Cross Country team selectionÂ
- Three-time All-State honors recipient
- U.P. Dream Team selection
- First place in both the Marquette County Relays and the WIN meet
- Finished fourth at U.P. finals
Track and Field:
- Earned U.P. Division 1 All-State honors in the 3200 meter run
- Finished second in the 3200-meter run at the U.P. finals in 2019
Personal
- Daughter of Spencer and Valerie Prusi
- From Negaunee, Michigan
- Mother, Valerie, played DIII basketball for Anoka Ramsey Community College. The team won the National Championship in 1996 and 1997, the two years Valerie played. Valerie was inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in 2019
- Hobbies include drawing, painting, traveling, playing video games, and reading
