2012-13 Women's Track and Field
Biography
2011-12: (Indoor) Finished fourth in the shot put at the St. Scholastica Opener. Placed seventh at the GVSU Holiday opener in the shot put. Named GLIAC All-Academic.
(Outdoor) Won the javelin and placed third in the long jump at the Oshkosh Invite. Finished first in the javelin and third in the long jump at the St. Norbert Twilight. Placed sixth at the GVSU Al Owens Classic in the javelin. At the GLIAC Outdoor Championships, placed sixth in the javelin and 18th in the long jump.
2010-11: (Indoor) Placed ninth in the 200-meter dash and fifth in the shot put at the St. Scholastica Opener. Finished third at the NMU Challenge in the triple jump with a jump of 10.62 meters.
(Outdoor) Placed second in the javelin at the Pioneer Invite and Northwood University. Finished eighth in the triple jump at Northwood University.
2009-10: (Outdoor) Finished fourth in the javelin at the GLIAC Outdoor Championships with a toss of 35.29 meters. Placed sixth in the shot put at the Sherman-Lukoski Invite. Finished third at the Northern Challenge in the shot put and fifth in the weight throw.
(Indoor) Took 10th in the triple jump at the Lake Superior Challenge.
High School: Lettered in track four times at Sibley High School under Lee Huenecke. Selected to the all-conference team. Team awards included Captain, Most Improved, Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable. Also lettered four times in volleyball where she was a distinguished academic selection and all-conference honorable mention. Lettered four times in wrestling.
Personal: Likes to read and participate in sports. Daughter of Louise and Wayne Beaman. Both parents competed collegiately at Bemidji State University, father in football and wrestling while mother participated in basketball, volleyball and track. Majoring in athletic training. Born on July 9, 1991.
