Biography
2016-17: Borchardt competed in the GLIAC Tournament, Taking home a bronze medal in the 800-yard freestyle Relay with a time of 7:38.57.
2015-16: Named the team's Most Valuable Player. Qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 1,000 freestyle finishing in 10th place (10:09.40) and in the 500 freestyle posting a 14th place finish (4:57.79). Was a member of the 200 medley relay team that finished in 16th place at the NCAA Championships (1:45.54). Swam to a fifth place finish in the 1,650 freesytle at the GLIAC Championships (17:20.84).
2014-15: Qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 500 freestyle finishing in 23rd place (5:01.55). Finished third at the GLIAC Championships in the 1,650 freestyle (17:13.70) and 500 freestyle (4:59.30). Member of the 200 freestyle relay team that finished fourth at the GLIAC Championships (1:37.19) along with a sixth place finish in the 200 freestyle (1:54.35) as an individual.
2013-14: Named team's Newcomer of the Year. Earned All-American honors at the NCAA Championships posting personal best times in the 1,000 freestyle (10:07.91) and in the 1,650 freestyle (16:58.83).
Before NMU: Lettered four times at Hartford Union High School. Named two-time Wisconsin Little Ten Conference MVP, three-time team MVP, Wisconsin All-State honorable mention 100 fly (2011), 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle (2012), team captain 2011 and 2012 and state qualifier all four years. Holds the pool and school record in the 200 free, 50 free and 100 free. School record holder in the 100 fly and pool record holder in the 400 freestyle .
Personal: Enjoys scuba diving, fishing, four-wheeling and hanging out with friends. Daughter of Dennis and Bonnie Borchardt. Majoring in nursing. Born on November 27, 1994.
