2015-16 Women's Swimming and Diving
Biography
2015-16: Named GLIAC Diver of the Year. Won the inaugural Performance of the Year award after posting a fifth place finish in the 1 -meter dive at the NCAA Championships to earn All-American honors. Finished seventh in the 3 -meter dive at the NCAA Championships to capture her second All-American finish. Won the 1 -meter dive and finished in third place in the 3 -meter dive at the GLIAC Championships.
2014-15: Earned All-American status in the 1-meter dive finishing in a sixth place tie with a score of 444.75. Qualified for the NCAA Pre-Qualification in the 3-meter where she finished ninth (255.75). Won a total of eight events between the 1 and 3-meter dive.
2013-14: Competed at the NCAA Championship in the 1 and 3-meter dive. Was named an All-American in both events with a score of 447.60 placing sixth in the 1-meter and an 11th place finish in the 3-meter.
2012-13: Lettered for the first time. Named team’s most valuable player. Awarded NMU’s female athlete of the year. GLIAC swimming and diving athlete of the week for Nov. 12. Placed first in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives at Hillsdale College (Oct. 12-13), at St. Cloud State Invite (Oct. 19-20), against Eau Claire (Nov. 3), and at UW-Stevens Point (Nov. 9-10). Finished fourth in the 3-meter dive and second in the 1-meter dive at the Calvin Invite (Nov. 29-Dec. 1). Took fourth in the 1-meter dive and second in the 3-meter dive at the GLIAC Championships (Feb. 6-9). Finished in third in the one-meter dive and sixth in the three-meter dive at the NCAA Championships (March 6-9) to be named an All-American in both events.
High School: Lettered and team most valuable player for four years at El Camino High School under Dede Crayne. Swam undefeated her senior year. Chosen as an All-American qualifier for four years, and All-American recipient senior year. Cheered and played golf for three years. Named Cheerleader of the Year during senior year.
Personal: Likes to read, golf, snowboard, wake board, run and exercise. Daughter of Mary and Kevin Kearney. Majoring in biology/physiology. Born on November 19, 1993.
