Biography

2011-12:  Lettered for the first time. CCSA second team selection. Competed at the NCAA Championship placing 26th in the freestyle with a time of 15:53.4.  Placed sixth in the freestyle and seventh in the classic at the USSA Opener at Michigan Tech. Won the freestyle at the Hilltop Invitation with a time of 11:48. Finished 14th in the classic and 11th in the freestyle at the Mayor’s Challenge. Won the 3x5 km freestyle relay with teammates Marie-Helen Soderman and Monica Markvardsen at the CCSA Championship and placed 10th in the 15k classic. Finished second in the classic at the NCCA Central Regional.

2010-11:  Redshirted.

2009-10:  Finished eighth in the OJ 5k freestyle at the Mayor’s Challenge in Minneapolis, Minn. with a time of 14.40.  Placed 34th in the 15k freestyle at the CCSA Championship, also placed 35th in the 5k classic.  Finished 42nd in the 10k freestyle at the Telemark Super Tour and 61st in the 5k classic.

High School:  Nordic skied and ran cross country at Hayward High School. Nine-time varsity athlete, three seasons as Nordic ski team captain, two seasons cross country running captain and Most Valuable Athlete. High School Valedictorian.

Personal:  Likes fishing, swimming, kayaking, camping and biking. Majoring in environmental science. Daughter of Roger and Heidi Burger. Born on April 9, 1991.
