• Shot rounds of 82, 87, for a 169, placed T52 individually and fourth on the team 

• Shot rounds of 78, 87, for a 165, placed T46 overall and third on the team

• Was the Brighton High School team captain, helping them to three regional championships 
• Earned First Team All-Conference and All-County awards in addition to winning the Shining Star Award

• Father Joel played football for NMU. Joel currently holds records for most touchdowns scored in a single game, led the 1985 and 1988 teams in receiving, and was a GLIAC All-Conference first team selection
