Biography
2016: Clocked fastest 6K time (23:58.9) of the season en rote to an eighth-place finish at the U.P. Championships on Oct. 14. Represented the Wildcats at the GLIAC Championship on Oct. 22, placing 64th with a time of 24:29.1.
2015: Ran at the Roy Griak Invitational (25:54.8). Posted best 6K time (24:07.58) of the season at the Conference Crossover Invitational. Represented Northern Michigan at the GLIAC Championship, placing 64th with a time of 24:15.0.
2014: Redshirted due to injury.
2013: Placed 11th (25:46:7) at Michigan Tech. Finished 10th (15:53:6) at U.P. Championship. Finished in the top 100 at UW Parkside Midwest Open. Also competed at UW Parkside Rosa Invitational.
2012: Placed 18th (16:04) at the Michigan Tech Opener, 20th (21:37.7) at the U.P. Championship and 87th (21:35.6) at the Midwest Collegiate Open. Also ran at the Blugold Invite.
High School: Lettered four times in cross country and track and field. Two-time all-state cross country runner. Four-time all-state pole vaulter and state champion in 2012. Broke the pole vault record in 2009 and 2012 and the 100 hurdle record in 2009. Both teams were conference champions all four years. Track and field was regional champions in 2011.
Personal: A 2012 graduate of Onekama High School. Likes running, biking, hiking, camping and being active. Majoring in nursing. Daughter of Bonnie and Jerry Brown. Two older brothers attended NMU. Born on May 8, 1994.
