Biography
2021 - Ran in five meets for the 'Cats. Took 34th overall at the GLIAC Championships with a time of 24:17.6. Set a personal 6K record at the Midwest Regional Championships, running the course in 23:09.4.Â
2020 - No Season Due to COVID-19
2019 -Â Opened the year 23rd at the Northwood Invite in 20:12.4. Placed 10th at the U.P. Championships in 20:11.3. Finished 77th in 24:36.4 at the GLIAC Championships. Ran in the Spartan Invite, Roy Griak Invite and Conference Championships.
Before NMU: Earned varsity letters in cross country, track & field and soccer from Boyne City High School. Named Female Most Outstanding Athlete for 2018-19. Helped the track & field team win Regional Championships in 2018 and 2019. Two-time state qualifier for cross country. Qualified for the State Track & Field Meet in the 1600 Meter and 3200 Meter Run. Two-time All-State Academic Team.
Personal: Daughter of Thomas and Diane Sterling. Born July 12, 2001. Biology major.
