Biography

2013: Finished seventh (15:34.5) at the U.P. Championship. Placed eighth at Michigan Tech. Finished 29th at UW-Parkside Open. Placed 73rd (24:13:5) at Roy Griak Invite, 55th at UW Parkside Rosa Invite, 70th at GLIAC Championship, and 65th at Regional Championship. Named NMU Scholar-Athlete of the Month for September.

2012:  Earned second letter. Placed 15th (21:19.9) at the Michigan Tech Opener and U.P. Championship (15:45). Finished 29th (19:57.9) at the Midwest Collegiate Open. Finished 54th at Blugold Invite. Also participated in the Roy Griak Invite. Named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team.

2011:  Lettered for the first time after placing 10th at the U.P. Cross Country Opener and 12th at the Northland College Invite. She was the top NMU finisher (4th) at the U.P. Championship with a time of 23:49.0. Competed in the GLIAC Championship (45th) and the NCAA Regional (94th). Also participated in the St. Olaf and Roy Griak Invites.  

High School:  Lettered four times in cross country at Grand Ledge High school under Fred Hutchenson and Kim Spalsbury. Greater Lansing Class A first team and all-league selection. Team was greater Lansing Champs in 2009 and 2007, conference champs in 2009 and 2007 and regional champs in 2007. Participated in track. Gary L. Miller Memorial and Karryn Cribley-Dzyazky track award winner.

Personal:  Majoring in nursing. Daughter of John and Cheryl Farquhar. Born on August 15, 1992.
