Biography
2016-17: Roovers competed in the GLIAC Tournament, winning one gold medal and three bronze medals. Roovers took the gold medal in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 6:40.78. The bronze medals were in the 1000-yard freestyle (9:20.53), 500-yard freestyle (4:32.89) and 1650-yard freestyle (15.48.65).
2015-16: Named team's Most Improved. Finished second in both the 500 freestyle (4:33.80) and 1,000 freestyle (9:21.42) at the GLIAC Championships. Member of the 800 freestyle relay that set a school record finishing in first place at the GLIAC Championships (6:44.17).
High School: Competed for three different club teams. Earned high school's Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award.
Personal: Son of Tom and Saara Roovers. Majoring in sociology. Born on November 21, 1997.
