2022-23 Men's Swimming and Diving Roster
Biography
2021-22: Helped the ‘Cats finish 1st in the 2021 CSCAA Open Water Championship at Lone Star Lake in Lawrence, Kansas. He closed out the Wildcats delegation with a 19th place showing in 1:05:20.8. Combs was honored as a senior during their last home meet of the year.
2020-21: Swam at the GLIAC Championships for multiple events, and made it to the finals for the 200-yard butterfly. He finished the event at 1:57.98. He was the only male swimmer to make it onto the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team.
2019-20: Took fourth in the 200-yard individual medley against Wisconsin Stevens Point. Competed in four events at the GLIAC Championships. Swam the 200 and 1,000-yard freestyle events at the GLIACs. Placed 14th in the 200-yard butterfly. Finished 16th in the 1,650-yard freestyle in the GLIAC Championships.
2018-19: Took ninth at the Calvin Invite in the 1,650-yard freestyle. Placed 12th in the 500-yard freestyle.
Before NMU: 2017-18 Team Captain and team MVP three years in a row. School record holder in the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle. All State Honorable Mention three times. 2018 Coaches Award recipient.
Personal: Son of John and Lisa Combs. Born March 27, 2001. Majoring in Computer Science and Spanish.
