Biography
2012-13: (Indoor) Earned first letter. Placed first and broke a school and meet record in the 60-meter dash at the St. Scholastica Opener (Dec. 8) in 7.74 seconds and finished second in the 4x400 relay. Top NMU finisher at the UW-Elite Invite (Jan. 23) with a third place finish in the 60. At the Pointer Invite (Feb. 2), placed second in the 60 and fourth in the 200. Finished in 30th in the 200 and 19th in the 60 at the GVSU Big Meet (Feb. 9) and won the 55 at the season’s lone home meet (Feb. 16). At the GLIAC Championships (Feb. 23-24), finished fourth in the 60, for the top NMU finisher and an NCAA provisional qualifier and member of the 4x400 relay team, placing 12th.
(Outdoor) Won the 100-meter and second in the 200-meter dashes at the UW-Oshkosh (April 6). Finished second in the 200 and third in the 100 at the Hillsdale Invite (April 13). At the Al Owens Invite (April 20), placed second in the 60 and 11th in the 200.
2011-12: Attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Participated in sprints. All-American (6th), conference runner-up and school record holder in 60-meter dash. All-American (4th) and conference champion in 100-meter dash. Team was NCAA indoor and outdoor runner-up, indoor conference champions and outdoor conference runner-up.
High School: Lettered four times at Pulaski High School. First team all-conference selection and school record holder in 100m, 4x100 relay and 4x200 relay. All-area selection. Four-year state qualifier in 100m, 4x100 and 4x200. Twice finished seventh in state in 100m. Finished fourth in state in 4x100. Senior Spotlight Meet 100m champion. All-conference basketball player and three-year starter in basketball and volleyball.
Personal: Likes track, basketball, volleyball, hanging out with friends and family andwatching the Green Bay Packers. Majoring in nursing. Daughter of Brenda and Dan Wirtz. Born on April 21, 1993.
