Football
  • 16-35 loss on homecoming to Davenport
Northern jumped out to an early 3-0 lead before Davenport answered, making the score 7-3. NMU briefly reclaimed the lead with Noah Dobert's first touchdown of the afternoon. Ultimately, Davenport's explosive second half proved to be too much for the Wildcats, as the Panthers won 35-16. Northern played to its strengths, running the ball 59 times for 278 yards. The Wildcats threw the ball only five times with zero completions, as their main passer, Duke Shovald, went down with an injury in the second quarter. Running back Noah Dobert was Northern's sole touchdown scorer (2), while leading the team with 156 rushing yards.

Volleyball
  • 0-3 loss to No. 12 Ferris State
In its second GLIAC match of the season, the Northern Michigan volleyball team fell to No. 12 Ferris State in straight sets, 19-25, 23-25, and 18-25. Northern had its second-best offensive output of the season, hitting .215, but Ferris State held a .318 attack percentage and had nine more kills than NMU (44-35). Northern was paced by Sydney Bartels with 11 kills on an efficient .276 clip. FSU's Emma Bleecher also had 11 kills. Both teams had success on the service line, with FSU edging NMU 10-6 in aces. Kaylie McIntosh had three for the Wildcats. The Bulldogs controlled the net with seven blocks to NMU's one. Allie Barlow posted 31 assists while Lauren Cardwell led the way on the back line with 16 digs.

Women's Soccer
  • 4-2 win over Roosevelt
  • 1-2 loss to Parkside
The NMU women's soccer team opened conference play by earning its first win of the Erin Egolf era, coming as a 4-2 decision over the Roosevelt Lakers. After a scoreless first hour of play, the floodgates opened in the second half, as the two teams combined for six goals in an explosive final half an hour. An offensive frenzy, the Wildcats got goal contributions from Addison Frantti (1g, 1a), Marena Maceroni (1g, 1a), Madison Bilbia (1g), Alyse Daavettila (1g), Gretchen Ellis (1a), and Kenna Alexander (1a). Frantti and Maceroni both tacked on their first career goal and assist, Ellis earned her first career Wildcat point, and Bilbia and Daavetilla both tallied their first goals of the season.

The Wildcats got its lone goal from Kenna Alexander against Parkside, scoring from a penalty kick to even up the contest at one aside. The penalty attempt was the first for the 'Cats since October 16, 2022, and the first penalty goal since a month earlier in that same season, on September 4. Redshirt-freshman goalkeeper Carly Sides got her first career start today, making eight saves from ten on target. This marked the most saves by a women's soccer goalkeeper in their debut (going back to 2009), and the most saves in a single game from an NMU keeper since Ava Wilberding stopped eight in a 0-0 draw to Ferris State on October 23, 2022.

Men's Soccer
  • 1-3 loss to Parkside
In a fast paced first half, the Wildcats opened the scoring thanks to Luca Rosen converting on a penalty kick just nine minutes into the contest. NMU had a pair of quality chances to extend the lead in the minutes to follow, highlighted by Rosen hitting the post, but it was Parkside that converted on a penalty kick of their own to tie the game. The half came to an end dramatically, as the Rangers got a lucky bounce and scored with a one second left in the frame, sneaking away with a 2-1 lead going into halftime. After the 'Cats had a ball cleared off the goal line to start the second half, Parkside found its third goal of the game just ten minutes into the half, extending the lead to two. The Wildcats had nine shots in the second frame, including six in the final 10 minutes, but were unable to convert, and the game would end 3-1.

Cross Country
  • Team takes third place at Roy Griak Invitational
The Northern Michigan cross country team placed 3rd out of 24 teams on Saturday at the Roy Griak Invite in St. Paul, Minnesota, with seven top-30 finishes. In a race featuring over 250 runners, NMU was once again led by Madi Szymanski with a time of 23:15.8, landing her in 5th. Closely behind her was freshman Ashley Choponis, who finished 8th with a time of 23:27.7. Behind NMU's two top-10 finishers, they had three additional runners finish in the top-25. Lamar Gordon placed 14th with a time of 23:39.0, with Emma Sweeney and Dani VanLente crossing in 23rd and 24th with times of 24:07.8 and 24:13.3, respectively.

Men's Golf
  • 17th of 19 at Bulldog Fall Classic
NMU shot a combined team total of +92, showing improvement each round, after shooting team scores of +35, +29, and +28. As a team, the 'Cats average 3.40 on the par threes, 4.54 on the par fours, and 5.42 on the par fives. The team carded eight birdies and 153 pars. Leading the way for the Wildcats was Arthur Ylitalo, who finished his three-day total with a score of +14 to finish T41 of the 106 golfers. Arthur started his third round off hot, shooting -1 in his opening seven holes before a spell of +6 in his final 11 holes to finish round three at +5. Arthur finished with 34 pars on the tournament, three shy of the leader with 37. Art also led the Wildcats in total birdies with four, par five scoring, totaling -1 on the week, and recorded the fewest bogeys and double-bogeys on the team.
