MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan women's wrestling team is back at home this weekend to host duals against Grand Valley State. The action will take place in Vandament Arena on Saturday, February 8, at 6 p.m.
A free to attend event, fans are encouraged to come cheer on the Green and Gold. For those that can't make it, the duals will be live streamed on FloWrestling.Â

About the 'Cats
- Yu Sakamoto ranks 12th nationally in the 117 weight class by The Open Mat. She earned the world champion title at the U23 World Championships in Albania in October.
- Alissa Caltagirone is ranked 13th in the 145 weight class.
- Sophia Bassino slots in at 19th in the 160 weight class.
- Kailyn Garrett ranks 20th at 207.
- NMU has ten regional top-5 finishes in its history, with Diana Dzasezava winning in 2023.
- The program has produced two All-Americans and 12 Scholar All-Americans over its three-year history.
