DULUTH, Minn. - The NMU men's nordic ski team completed day one from the 2025 St. Scholastica CCSA Invite, with three Wildcats claiming the top four spots.
The field was led by
Kristoffer Karsrud, who posted a dominant race. The 'Cats skated three 2.5k laps en route to completing the 7.5k, and Karsrud's lap times of 5:32.0, 11:39.4, and 17:53.5 were first among the field on all three laps.
Right behind Karsrud was teammate
Luke Fricker, claiming silver with a final time of 18:10.4. Similar to Karsrud, Fricker's lap times of 5:34.4, 11:43.7, and 18:10.4 were all second-best among the field en route to his podium finish.
Adrik Kraftson opened his race with laps times of 4:45.6 and 12:03.3, sitting in 7th place going into his final lap. Kraftson then jumped up three spots, crossing the line at 18:19.2 to finish just narrowly off the podium in fourth.
Jonathan Clarke rounded out the 'Cats in the top-10 with his seventh place finish at 18:42.9.
Hendrik Peterson finished 21st and
Mathias Haugen rounded out the 'Cats skiers in 26th.
