HOUGHTON, Mich. - Nine runners from the Northern Michigan cross country team competed at the Husky Invitational on Friday afternoon, with several notable results.
The Green and Gold finished in positions 3-7, led by
Paige Anderson with a time of 25:15.2. Following Anderson were
Anya VanSweden at 25:38.7,
Lana Mac at 25:39.1, and
Abby Harma at 25:43.8.
Monet Argeropoulos made it five Wildcats in the top-10 with a 10th-place finish. She ran in 26:20.9.
Brooke Lemos was 12th with a time of 27:13.9,
Kate Langworthy was 21st with a time of 29:12.7, Elliot Smith was 22nd at 29:21.6, and
Taryn Maki finished in 27th, crossing at 30:09.1.
Michigan Tech's Grace Folkema won the race with a time of 24:47.9, while Fiona Metzo of the NMU Club Team was second at 24:56.6.
