Duluth, Minn. - The NMU men's nordic team wrapped up its CCSA Conference Championships by claiming the top two spots, and three of the top four, in the 20km Classic with Kristoffer Karsrud earning gold and Luke Fricker damn earning silver.

Karsrud claimed gold with his laps of 6:44.0, 7:10.3, 7:04.9, 6:56.2, 7:26.9, 7:33.0, 6:52.2, 7:03.0 - 56:50.9. Karsrud found the podium both days this weekend, and earned back-to-back gold medals in the 20km Classic during conference championships.

Fricker followed up his gold medal yesterday with a silver medal today, with just one second separating him and Karsrud in first and second (6:45.6, 7:10.8, 7:04.7, 6:55.1, 7:26.9, 7:34.0, 6:50.1, 7:04.8 - 56:52.2). It was a two-horse race, with a whopping 22 seconds between Fricker and Axel Aflodal of Michigan Tech in third.

Jonathan Clarke just missed out on a podium spot in fourth with his time of 57:15.6, followed by Hendrik Peterson in eighth with his time of 58:12.7 to round out the 'Cats in the top 10.

Cooper Lennox finished one spot outside the top 10, and Mathias Haugen rounded out the 'Cats with his finish in 25th.
