MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Northern Michigan women's wrestling team returns to the mat this weekend, facing off against UW-Oshkosh in duals.
The Wildcats and Titans will take part in duals on Friday, December 6 at 6 p.m. ET in Kolf Sports Center in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

The Wildcats fell 44-6 to Grand Valley in duals on November 16 in Allendale.
NMU earned five points from a win in the 207 weight class from
Ozioma Ogu.

About the 'Cats
- Yu Sakamoto ranked 7th nationally in the 117 weight class by The Open Mat. She recently earned the world champion title at the U23 World Championships in Albania.
- Zhivanna Magdaleno is ranked 16th at 124, Alissa Caltagirone slots in at 17th in the 145 weight class, Sophia Bassino ranks 18th in the 160 weight class, and Ozioma Ogu is 20th at 207.
- Northern Michigan is ranked 18th in team dual rankings and 23rd in tournament rankings.
- NMU has ten regional top-5 finishes in its history, with Diana Dzasezava winning in 2023.
- The program has produced two All-Americans and 12 Scholar All-Americans over its three-year history.
- Tony Deanda was named the Regional Coach of the Year in 2023.
