CABLE, Wisc. - The NMU women's nordic ski team finished competition in the Freestyle 10km from the Gitchi Gami Games SuperTour, led by a ninth overall finish from
Henriette Nilssen.
The course ran a total length of 3403 meters with the skiers having to complete three laps. The Wildcats competed in the U18/U20/U23/Sr/NCAA bracket, consisting of 129 total skiers to start and finish the race.
Nilssen finished ninth overall, sixth among under 23 athletes, and sixth among collegiate athletes with her time of 26:47.4, posting lap times of 8:19.6, 17:25.6 (9:06.0), and 26:19.6 (8:54.0).
Next was
Pearl Harvey, who finished 19th overall, eighth among athletes in the senior division, and 12th overall among collegiate athletes. Harvey posted lap times of 8:36.0, 18:07.4 (9:31.4), and 27:42.7 (9:35.3).
Ella Niznik rounded
out the 'Cats skiers, finishing 55th overall, 46th among athletes under 23, and 28th among collegiate racers. Niznik started lap one with a time of 9:04.7 before posting times of 19:31.2 (10:26.5) and 29:56.1 (10:24.9) on her final two laps.

The 'Cats round out its time in Cable on Tuesday, as the team competes in the Classic Mass Start 20km.
Day Two - Classic Sprint
Nilssen posted a time of 3:35.62 in her semifinal heat after finishing second in her quarterfinal heat with a time of 3:36.54 to qualify to the semi's. Nilssen finished 12th overall and sixth overall of athletes under 23 with her time of 3:39.59.
Jordan Parent and
Pearl Harvey were in the same quarterfinal heat, finishing 4th and 6th with times of 3:50.26 and 3:55.67. Parent finished 23rd overall and 16th among under 23 athletes with her time of 3:45.46 in qualifying, and Harvey finished 28th overall and 8th in the senior division with a time of 3:52.09.
Ella Niznik posted a time of 3:55.78 in qualifying, three spots out of qualifying at 33rd overall.
