Matt Williams, the associate head coach of swim and dive and volunteer coordinator for the race, had this to say about the 2023 Marquette Marathon:
"We're grateful to all the runners that came out and competed in the Marquette Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K and Pebble Run. It's so inspiring to see the athletes as they cross the finish line.
Kudos to our athlete volunteers and coaches who covered all the road crossings, aid stations, starting lines, finish line and race expo. They are crucial to the success of this event and the energy they bring definitely powers people through the race course."
