Caro Tripp Named the First Full-Time Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

MARQUETTE, Mich. - Former standout NMU golfer Caro Tripp has been added to the Northern Michigan Athletics staff as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach, announced by Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Jenna Bruttomesso. 

In 2022-23, Tripp was contracted full-time where she ran the strength and conditioning programs for Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving, Lacrosse, Women's Basketball, Women's Soccer, Men's Soccer, Men's and Women's Golf and Alpine Ski. Caro assisted with Football during the winter of 2022 and helped with the daily scheduling, tasks and weight room maintenance.

Prior to that, Caro was a paid student strength and conditioning assistant from 2020-2022, while completing her Masters in Exercise Science at NMU. During this time, she conducted and published research in the field of S&C while leading teams as a CSCS certified coach.

Caro completed her Bachelors degree at NMU as a student-athlete on the Women's Golf team where she was the first NMU golfer to qualify for NCAA National Golf Championships in 2019. During that time, she volunteered her time assisting the Head Strength and Conditioning coach with all 16 varsity teams. 

Tripp is from Namibia and currently resides in Marquette with her husband Scott and their son, Wes.
