BOSTON - Former Northern Michigan cross country and track & field runner Hanna Torvi completed the 2023 Boston Marathon (April 17), crossing the finish line in a time of 3:21.23. 

As a Wildcat, Torvi competed from 2016-2020. She was named to the All-GLIAC Academic Excellence Team each season throughout her career. She was a Second Team All-GLIAC selection in cross country in 2019-20. In 2017-18, Torvi competed at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships finishing the 6k with a time of 23:38.5. She posted a career-best 6K time of 22:17.3 at the NCAA Division II Midwest Region Cross Country Championships on November 9, 2019.
