DULUTH, Minn. - The NMU men's nordic ski team carried over its day one success with an even better performance on day two, sweeping the podium and finishing first as a team over the two-day event.
Over the weekend, the men earned 141 points, good for first place, followed by Michigan Tech at 125 and the College of Saint Scholastica at 87. The 'Cats controlled the combined overall standings through both days, as the men and women finished with 283 points. Michigan Tech followed with 245, and the College of Saint Scholastica was third with 187.

Adrik Kraftson claimed first, followed by teammates
Mathias Haugen and
Luke Fricker in second and third, respectively, and
Kristoffer Karsrud rounded out the top four.
The men claimed 72 points on day two, leading the field for the second consecutive day. Michigan Tech was second in day two scoring with 60 points, and the College of Saint Scholastica was third with 46.
Sunday Individual Results - Classic Interval Start
Adrik Kraftson claimed gold with his time of 17:13.4, leading the 'Cats on day two. Kraftson had lap times of 3:20.9, 6:48.7, 10:19.9, and 13:48.9 before crossing the finish.
Mathias Haugen found the podium once again in his second race as a Wildcat, finishing second with a time of 17:13.7, a mere .3 seconds off of first place. Haugen posted lap times of 3:11.5, 6:42.1, 10:13.8, and 13:46.8.
Luke Fricker rounded out the podium, claiming third with his time of 17:17.8. Fricker posted lap times of, 3:14.8, 6:42.9, 10:13.2, and 13:46.9 before crossing the line.
Kristoffer Karsrud finished fourth with a time of 17:23.8,
Jonathan Clarke finished 10th with a time of 18:12.0, and
Cooper Lennox finished 13th with a time of 18:32.4.
