LAS VEGAS - The Greco-Roman Wrestling team was out west in Las Vegas, Nevada, where they competed in the three-day US Open. The NMU - National Training Center was represented with three victories by Max Black, Kenneth Crosby, and Mikey Altomer in U20 competition and two more podium finishes in the Senior Division. 

In the first two days of senior division competition, Max Black (60kg) and Payton Jacobson (77kg) finished on the podium, while four others found top-7 finishes.

To wrap-up the US Open in the U20 competition, Kenneth Crosby won gold in the 55kg, defeating Roberto Estrada (Western Colorado Wrestling Club) 8-0 in in the final 0:42. Max Black followed it up with another victory in the 60kg, taking out Cory Land (Panther Wrestling Club RTC) 8-0 in the final 2:51. Mikey Altomer made it three wins, defeating Darion Johnson of Mustang Wrestling Club in the final in 1:47 by a 4-1 margin. 

With the wins, Crosby, Black, and Altomer earned the right to represent the US at the U20 Pan ams from July 6-9 in Santiago, Chile. They also earned an automatic berth to the 2-out-of-3 finals at the U20 World Team Trials on June 2 in Geneva, Ohio.

As a team in the U20 division, NMU took first with 33 points. Northern Colorado Wrestling Club was second with 26 points and the Panther Wrestling Club RTC took third with 19 points.
