MARQUETTE, Mich. – Northern Michigan University Volleyball travels to The Academy Volleyball Club in Indianapolis, Indiana for the annual Midwest Region Volleyball Conference Crossover, consisting of teams from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Great Lakes Valley Conference and the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

| LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats returned to Vandament Arena this past weekend and split their two matches. On Friday afternoon, NMU hosted Ashland University and took the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference South Division leaders to five sets, but were unable to pull off the upset. The team then returned Saturday afternoon and picked up their second GLIAC sweep by defeating Wayne State University.
| GETTING THE KILL
The Wildcats feature two ranked in the top five of hitting. Sophomore Lizzy Stark (Minneapolis, Minn.) is fourth for both kills and kills per set. The sophomore is averaging 3.74 kills per set this year and has tallied 247 kills this year.
Freshman Abigail Durecki (South Lyon, Mich.) is fifth in hitting percentage as she is hitting .319 for her rookie season. Durecki has just 42 errors this season on just 360 attempts.
| DEFEND THE NET
Durecki and senior Sarah Kuehn (Green Bay, Wis.) are both ranked for blocks. Kuehn is third with 59 total blocks this season. She is averaging .88 blocks per set to place her fourth. Durecki has notched 49 blocks to place ninth in the GLIAC and is averaging .72 blocks per set.
| STAT LEADERS
Several others have made an impact each match this season for the Wildcats. Freshman Lauren Van Remortel (Carmel, Ind.) has recorded 636 assists this year along with 12 aces and 131 digs. Leading the back row have been two sophomores, Lauren Caprini (St. Charles, Ill.) and Alli Yacko (Oak Lawn, Ill.). Caprini has tallied 225 digs while Yacko has 190, with duo both notching 13 aces this year.
| NMU VERSUS UMSL
NMU is 4-2 overall against the Tritons, with their last meeting coming in the 2015 season. UMSL comes into the weekend 17-2 on the season and are receiving votes in the Top 25 rankings.
| NMU VERSUS UIS
NMU took on UIS for the first time last season at the UIS Capital Classic and came away with a 3-2 victory. The Prairie Stars are 12-7 this season after reaching the NCAA Tournament in 2018.
| NMU VERSUS CEDARVILLE
The Wildcats are 4-1 all-time against the Yellow Jackets, having won four-straight matches against Cedarville. CU comes into the weekend at 10-6 overall and 5-1 in the G-MAC.
