MARQUETTE, Mich. – Northern Michigan University Volleyball will visit rival Michigan Technological University Tuesday night for a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup.
The Wildcats then will play in Vandament Arena for the first time this season by hosting Lake Superior State University Friday and Saginaw Valley State Saturday.

| LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats collected two victories over the weekend to get Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action started at 2-0. On Friday, NMU visited Grand Valley State University and forced the match into a fifth set by winning the fourth set 32-30 then won the fifth set 15-13.
NMU then traveled to Davenport University and won the second, third and fourth set to avenge an earlier loss and open GLIAC play undefeated on opening weekend.
| HUNTING FOR THE KILL
NMU features two players with over 100 kills so far this season. Sophomore Lizzy Stark (Minneapolis, Minn.) has 147 kills this year and is averaging 3.67 kills per set. Her total places her third in the GLIAC while her average places her fourth currently.
Sophomore Hailey Wickstrom (Calumet, Mich.) has added 104 kills through 10 matches and is averaging 2.54 kills per set.
| ACES WILD
Three Wildcats have tallied atleast on ace per match this season. Durecki paces the team with 16 aces. Stark and freshman Lauren Van Remortel (Carmel, Ind.) both have added 10 aces each.
As a team, NMU is currently tied for third in the GLIAC with 57 aces total.
| DIG IT
Sophomore Lauren Caprini (St. Charles, Ill.) paces the Wildcats with 155 digs this season and is averaging 3.69 digs per set. Her 155 digs places her fourth in the GLIAC.
Stark is second on the team with 107 digs, 2.67 per set, this season. Van Remortel and sophomore Alli Yacko (Oak Lawn, Ill.) have chipped in with 91 digs each as well.
| NMU VERSUS MICHIGAN TECH
The Wildcats hold an 85-22 all-time advantage over Michigan Tech in a series that dates back to the 1976 season. The Huskies enter Tuesday's match at 7-3 this season and also picked up two victories this past weekend.
| NMU VERSUS LAKE SUPERIOR STATE
NMU has controlled the series that began in 1974 with a 85-16-1 all-time record and 62 of the past 63 meetings since 1990. The Wildcats are currently on a 28-match winning streak over the Lakers. LSSU is 3-7 this season but fell to Ferris State University and Northwood University this past weekend.
| NMU VERSUS SAGINAW VALLEY STATE
The all-time series with the Cardinals sees NMU lead 58-12. The Cardinals are entering the week at 7-3 this year and ended a three game losing streak by defeating #10 Ferris State University Saturday afternoon.
