  LEADING THE TEAM

Sophomore Leticia Antunes (Florianopolis, Brazil/Colegio Ofelia Fonseca) is leading the Wildcat offense with 196 kills on the season and is averaging 3.38 kills per season. She has also added 10 aces to her offensive success this season. The sophomore is also just 23 kills away from reaching 500 in her career at NMU.

  ITS A KILL

When junior Sarah Kuehn (Green Bay, Wis./De Pere) gets a good swing on the ball, it is likely to be a kill for NMU. Kuehn is pacing the Wildcats by hitting at a .351 clip this year.  For the season, she has hit 161 kills which is third best for NMU.

  SVOBODA SETS IT UP

Senior Lynzi Svoboda (Minneapolis, Minn./Minneapolis Southwest) has notched 588 assists on the season, averaging 10.10 a set. She is fifth in the GLIAC in assists per set while her total places her 24th nationally.

  MONSMA NEAR THE TOP

Senior Autumn Monsma (Grand Haven, Mich.) is top three in three key categories and has been a key to the team's success this season. Monsma leads the Wildcats with 17 aces and is second with 169 kills. Defensively, the senior is third with 179 digs. For her career, she has posted 696 career kills, putting her 29th in school history, and has 963 digs, putting her 17 in school history.

  DIG OUT

Senior Rachel Braunschweig (Alamo, Calif./San Ramon Valley) will soon become the 16th player in NMU Volleyball history to achieve 1,000 assists in her career as a Wildcat.  Braunschweig has achieved 981 digs in her career, averaging 3.89 digs per set in 252 sets.

  NMU GETS KILLS

The Wildcats rank second in the GLIAC with 13.55 kills per set this season. On the year, they have 786 kills, which places them third in the league. They are currently hitting .199 as a team and have tallied 153 more kills than their opponents this season.

  NMU VERSUS ASHLAND

NMU holds a 19-11 edge over Ashland all-time.  The last three matches have gone to five sets, with the Eagles winning two but NMU captured a 3-2 victory over Ashland last season in Vandament Arena. This season, AU is 14-2 overall and are on a seven-match winning streak, which makes them unbeaten in the GLIAC.

  NMU VERSUS WAYNE STATE

The Wildcats are 40-20 against Wayne State since the series began in 1975. NMU defeated WSU 3-1 last year in Detroit, Michigan and look to pull off the road victory once again. The Warriors enter the week 9-6 overall and 4-3 in conference play. Wayne State hosts Michigan Technological University Friday night.
