Northern Michigan University and Michigan Technological University are hosting the 2013 SUPERIOR OASIS WILDCAT OPEN volleyball tournament at Vandament Arena on September 13-14. Teams participating in this year’s tournament are:

Tickets are now on sale at the ‘Cats Corner Store.

All seats are general admission.


Concessions will be available all day inside Vandament Arena.


A six-member all-tournament team plus libero will be announced after the final match. A team trophy will be awarded to the first place team with the most wins.

NMU has hosted an early season round robin tournament 19 times in its volleyball history.

Recent tournament winners are:

  • 2009 - University of California, San Diego


The NMU football team hosts the University of Findlay on Saturday (Sep. 14) at the Superior Dome. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. in the season-opener.
