Cross Country - Competed at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships finishing the 6k with a time of 23:38.5. Finished 25th at the GLIAC Championships in the 6k with a time of 23:43.2. Ran a career-best 6k time of 23:08.1 at the NCAA Division II Midwest Region Cross Country Championships. Named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team.

Indoor – Ran in the 3,000-meters at two meets, finishing with a season-best time of 10:56.81 at the GVSU Big Meet. Placed eighth at the Pointer invite with a time of 11:09.78. Named to GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team.

Outdoor – Earned All-GLIAC honors after finishing third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the GLIAC Championships. Her time of 11:18.54 was a season-best and is the third-best time in program history. Also ran once in the 1,500-meter run at the Spartan Invite, finishing in 5:08.41. Named to GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team.


Cross Country - Took 13th in the 5K at the Chris Yanni Memorial Invitational on Sept. 10, crossing the line in 19:39.86. Ran fastest 6K of the season at the U.P. Championships on Oct. 14, clocking in at 23:21.1 to finish fourth. Represented Northern Michigan at the GLIAC Championship on Oct. 22, finishing 53rd with a time of 24:11.0.

Indoor - Did not compete.

Outdoor - Won the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the St. Norbert Twilight. Finished fifth in the event at the GLIAC Championships. 

BEFORE NMU: Hanna earned three cross country letters, four track & field letters, and five nordic Skiing leters at Roseville Area High School. She appeared in a state meet on nine different occasions, was all-conference eight times, and was all-state in Nordic three times. In 2016, Hanna earned the Female Triple-A Award given to a senior that excels in academics, arts, and athletics. 

PERSONAL: Daughter of Kari Slotness Torvi and Chris Torvi. Hanna's mother, Kari, ran cross country at NMU and was a member of the Wildat Nordic Ski team.
