INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Northern Michigan University Indoor Track & Field will send two individuals and a relay to the NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships.
The team's 4x400 Meter Relay team of junior Sydney McPeters (Sugarland, Texas), and seniors Paige Dutcher Williamston, Mich.), Lynsey Collins (Escanaba, Mich.) and Shayla Huebner (Marquette, Mich) will attend the meet after earning All-Region honors. The team broke a school record with a time of 3:46.47 at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships.
Huebner also made the meet in the 800 Meter Run. The senior broke a school record and is ranked fifth in the region with a posted time of 2:10.17 in a second-place finish at the GLIAC Championships this past weekend. This is the second-straight year she has qualified for Indoor Nationals.
Senior Michelle Juergen (Gau-Odernheim, Germany) makes her first appearance at the national meet after she qualified with a season-best leap of 5'7.25 at the Titan Challenger at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh on Saturday, February 16. Juergen finished second in the high jump at the GLIAC Championships.
The Indoor National Championship meet takes place in Pittsburgh, Kansas and will begin Friday, March 8 and finish on Saturday March 9.
