CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Northern Michigan University Women's Track & Field continued to compete Friday at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships at the Irwin Belk Complex in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The lone Wildcat to participate in the national meet of Friday was senior Ine Mylle (Zonnebeke, Belgium), who finished 14th in the triple jump. Mylle cleared 39 feet, 0.50 inches in her first attempt, which was the 10th-best mark after the first jump.
Mylle ends her Wildcats career in NMU's top-10 for nine combined indoor and outdoor events, while she is also an eight-time all-region performer in the triple jump. Additionally, she was an All-GLIAC performer on six occasions which included a pair of GLIAC titles in the triple jump.
Senior Kameron Burmeister (Menominee, Michigan) will compete in the 5,000-meter run on the final day of the NCAA II Outdoor Championships. The event will begin Saturday event at 6:35 p.m. Burmeister earned All-America honors in the 10,000-meters on Friday after a ninth-place finish. She also has a pair of All-America nods in the 5,000-meters during the indoor season.
