DULUTH, Minn. — Four Wildcats won individual titles at the Lake Superior Challenge, held Saturday at St. Scholastica-Burns Wellness Commons.
Abby Fifarek (10:31.09), Caroline Arlasky (11:46.51) and Kalina Pfannenstiel (11:51.68) combined to sweep the podium in the 3,000-meter run.
Shayla Huebner raced to a win in the 400-meter dash (58.78) while Katelyn Smith took the mile-run crown (5:18.54).
Jasmine Williams (58-10.75) and Samanthia Johnson (51-7.75) claimed the top-two spots in the weight throw.
Ine Mylle finished second in the triple jump (37-5.25) while Paige Dutcher placed third in both the 200-meter dash (26.61) and 400-meter dash (1:00.87).
Avadon James (60-meter dash, 8.05) and the 4x400-meter relay team of Maddy Walters, Kelly Pietrzak, Smith and Fifarek (4:27.22) earned third-place finishes.
Northern Michigan next travels to Big Rapids, Mich. for The Big Meet on Feb. 10-11.
