Wildcats Open 2020 Season At Home Against McKendree

MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University women's lacrosse team kicks off their fourth season this weekend when they host McKendree this Saturday, February 15. The team looks to improve upon its previous season which saw its first post season berth with an appearance in the conference quarterfinals.

  2019 SEASON

Last year the women posted a program best four wins, advancing to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference quarterfinals for the first time in program history. 

  PRESEASON POLL

After finishing seventh in the conference standings last season and clinching their first post season appearance, the women have been picked to finish fourth in 2020 in the GLIAC preseason poll.

  NEW LEADERSHIP

Lindsey LeMay is taking over the reigns in 2020, joining the team from Wartburg College where she served as the assistant coach.  

LeMay becomes just the second head coach in the program's history.
