MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University Women's Golf team has announced their 2018-19 season schedule. The schedule features a total of 10 events, with five in the fall and five more in spring.
The year begins with the team travelling to the Prairie View Golf Course in Carmel, Indiana for the UIndy Invitational on September 10 and 11. Shortly after, September 15 and 16, the Wildcats compete in the Saginaw Valley State University Invitational at Saginaw Valley Public in Bay City, Michigan.
On September 29 and 30, NMU heads to Allendale, Michigan for the Grand Valley State University Invitational at the Meadows.
In October, the women's team enters October and competes at the Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio before finishing the fall season at the Kohler Classic on the Irish Course October 22 and 23 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
NMU returns to action in the spring at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Vs. Great Midwest Athletic Conference from March 7-9 in Port St. Lucie, Florida at Bushwood Golf Course. The Wildcats then take part in another SVSU Invitational, this time at the Kearny Hills Golf Course in Lexington, Kentucky on March 16 and 17.
On April 1 and 2, NMU will return to the NC4K Classic in Blacklick Ohio at the Jefferson Country Club. They then return to Ohio for the Walsh Invitational April 9 and 10 in Canton, Ohio and the Glenmoor Country Club.
The schedule closes in Augusta, Michigan April 20-22 for the GLIAC Championships at Gull Lake.
After finishing second in the GLIAC and posting a seventh-place finish at the NCAA East Super Regional, the Wildcats return four of their top five student-athletes from last season and will look to compete for the GLIAC Championship.
