2019-20 Swim & Dive Schedule Now Available

MARQUETTE, Mich. – Northern Michigan University Swim & Dive has posted their 2019-2020 Season Schedule which includes four events inside the PEIF Pool.

The season begins with the annual Green and Gold Meet, taking place on Homecoming, Saturday, September 21 at 10 a.m.

The team then dives into competition with meets against the University of Findlay on Friday, October 11, at 5 p.m. in Marquette, Michigan and again at 10 a.m. the next day, Saturday, October 12.

On Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19, The Wildcats head to Fargo, North Dakota for meets against Minnesota State University-Moorhead and Northern State University. The pool the teams will compete in was used for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.

November begins with the team visiting Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foes Grand Valley State University and Saginaw Valley State University. On Friday, November 1, NMU travels to GVSU and then heads to SVSU Saturday. November 9, the next Saturday, sees the squad host the University of Wisconsin-Stevens point.

The 2019 calendar year concludes with the annual Calvin College Invitational, a three-day meet that begins Thursday, December 5 and runs through Saturday, December 7.

After the new year, the Wildcats visit University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Saturday, January 11 before concluding the regular season Saturday, January 18 with the Wildcat Intrasquad and Skins Meet to celebrate Senior Day.

NMU will then shift gears and begin preparing for the GLIAC Championships taking place Wednesday, February 19 through Saturday, February 22. This year's GLIAC Championships will take place at the Gerstacker Regional Aquatic Center in University Center, Michigan.

The season concludes with the NCAA Championships at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio, and spans from Tuesday, March 10 through Saturday, March 14. 

The Wildcats will return the two-time defending Female Swimmer of the Year in rising senior Rachel Helm (Newcastle, England) and a total of nine All-Americans from the 2018-19 season.
