COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Northern Michigan University Swim & Dive teams have been selected to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America Team list.
A record 713 teams from 460 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2018 semester. The teams were selected by the CSCAA's Scholar All-America committee on the basis of their Fall grade point averages and represent 16,502 student-athletes. To earn the honor, teams were required to post an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the Fall Semester and maintain a roster of 12 or more student-athletes.
The men's team posted a team GPA of 3.25 while women combined for an overall GPA of 3.48. In the pool, the men's team finished the dual meet season undefeated, including a victory over University of Wisconsin Green Bay. The women's team ended dual meets at 8-1, also defeating UWGB and their only loss came at the hands of Division I foe Bowling Green State University.
The Wildcats are now preparing for the GLIAC Championships that begin Wednesday, February 20 in Cleveland, Ohio and run through Saturday, February 23.
