2017-18

Cross Country - Ran a 23:16 (6k) and was the fifth Wildcat finisher at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships. Her fastest finish of the season was a 22:58.1 (6k), which took 48th place at the NCAA Division II Midwest Region Cross Country Championships.  McDonald scored for the Wildcats at the Roy Griak Invitational on September 23 by finishing the 6k in 24:12. Named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team.

Nordic Skiing - Competed at the CCSA Championships placing sixth in the 15K freestyle race and seventh in the 5K classic race. Finished fifth in the sprints at the MTU Open and the 10K classic at the Minnesota-Duluth CCSA Races. Had a pair of top-10 finishes at the MTU CCSA races, placing seventh in the 15K freestyle race and ninth in the 5K classic race. Named second-team All-CCSA at the conclusion of the season.

2016-17

Cross Country - Named the USTFCCCA Division II Athlete of the Week after winning the U.P. Championships on Oct. 14 with a time of 22:59.0. Named to the all-GLIAC second team after placing 17th (22:38.1) at the GLIAC Championship on Oct. 22. Earned all-Midwest Region accolades after placing 23rd at the NCAA Midwestern Regional on Nov. 5 with a season-best 6K time of 21:31.45. Represented Northern Michigan at the NCAA National Championship on Nov. 19, taking 135th (22:42.8). Named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team.

Nordic Skiing - Recorded two sixth places at CCSA Distance Championships in the 15K freestyle mass start and the 5K classic with individual start. Placed fifth at NCAA Qulifier in the 5K classic.

2015-16 

Cross Country - Placed in the top 20 at five events. Took 15th at the Roy Griak Invitational with a time of 23:14.3. Named to the all-GLIAC second team after finishing 11th with a time of 22:30.6. Earned all-Midwest Region accolades after placing 20th at the NCAA Midwestern Regional with a season-best time of 21:38.536. Took 93rd at the NCAA National Championships with a time of 22:10.6. Named the team's Newcomer of the Year.

Nordic Skiing - Finished fifth in the freestyle sprint's junior division (4:04.39) and second in the classic sprint's junior division (5:07.79) at the U.S. Skiing Championships. Took fifth in both the 5K freestyle (15:00.6) and 15K classic (51:10.5) at the CCSA Invitational. Placed fifth in the 5K freestyle at the CCSA Championships, clocking in at 15:10.5. At the NCAA Central Regional Championship, finished fourth in the 5K freestyle with a time of 14:11.3. Named to the all-CCSA second team.

 

Before NMU: Competed for Park City Nordic Ski Club. For Park City High School, ran cross country, earning All-American accolades in 2014 and 2015. Helped Park City win four state championships in cross country from 2010 to 2014.
