2017-18: Won the Central Region title in the 10K classic race at the Central Region Championships as the top NCAA skier with a time of 25:25.30. Was set to compete at the NCAA National Championships but withdrew due to an illness. Took the top spot in the 15K classic races at the UP Opener and the MTU Open in consecutive weeks to begin the season. Competed at the U-23 World Championships where he finished 65th in the freestyle sprints. At the U.S. Cross Country Skiing Championships, Ketterson was the top NCAA skier with a fourth-place finish in the freestyle sprints.
2016-17: Finished top five at CCSA's Birkie Trailhead 10K classic, 20 K freestyle and Rhinelander NCAA Qualifier. Took first and second at CCSA distance championships. Qulified for NCAA Championships where he raced to 23rd place in 10K classic. Named newcomer of the year.
Before NMU: Won the 2014 Minnesota state championship and qualified for the 2015 World Junior Championships. The top-ranked United States Ski and Snowboard Association 1997-born skier for distance, sprint and overall, placed third at the state championship meet during his freshman year at Jefferson High School, where he has competed at the varsity level since seventh grade. Raced in the Scandic Cup, taking sixth, and the Senior Nationals classic sprint, placing placed third. A four-time club MVP, led Loppet Nordic Racing to back-to-back Junior Nationals titles in 2014 and 2015.
