2015-16: Won three events and placed in the top three in four more over the course of the season. Raced to a third-place finish in the 15K classic (40:47.0) at the U.S. Skiing Championships, finishing second among Americans and first among collegians. Represented the U.S. at the World U-23 Championships, where placed in the top 30 in both the 15K classic (23rd, 43:04.2) and 15K freestyle (29th, 33:14.9). Named to the all-CCSA first team. Earned first team All-American accolades in the 10K freestyle (4th, 22:35.2) and 20K classic (5th, 50:39.7). At the U.S. Long Distance Championships, placed in the top 10 in all three events (15K freestyle, 1.5K sprint and 50K classic) he competed in against elite competition, including World Cup athletes. Named team's co-MVP and Scholar-Athlete award recipient. Finished second in the USSA Grand Champion race after compiling 130 points based on his performance at the U.S. Cross Country Championships and U.S. Long Distance Championships.

2014-15: Had six top-five finishes in freestyle races, taking second at the Telemark Chase and the U.P. Invite. Posted best freestyle time at the CCSA Distance Championships, finishing fourth with a time of 20:03.4. In classic events, finished in the top five in all but two races. Won the NMU Open with a time of 40:51.2 and had second-place finishes at the MTU Open, MTU JOQ, St. Paul Battle Creek Super and the CCSA Distance Championships. Added a third-place finish at the NCAA Regional with a time of 51:36.2. Named the team's Scholar-Athlete of the year.

2013-14: Finished in the top five in both the classic and freestyle at the Michigan Tech Opener.  Qualified for the NCAA Championships after placing sixth in the freestyle and seventh in the classic race at the NCAA Central Regional Championship. At the NCAA National Championship, took 13th in the 10k classic (25:52.3) and 22nd in the 20K freestyle (44:39.9).

High School: Lettered four times at Wausau East High School. Received the rookie of the year, most improved and most valuable player awards. Wisconsin state champion in 2012. Team was the Wisconsin state champion in 2011. Also skied for CXC Junior Development Program.

Personal: Majoring in mathematics and computer science. Son of Laura and Paul Martin. Born on October 26, 1994.
