    MARQUETTE, Mich.— Northern Michigan University Men’s Soccer announced their 2018 schedule which will begin with a non-conference home match against Mercyhurst University on August 30. The 16-match regular season will include nine home contests and seven road matchups.

    MARQUETTE, Mich.— Northern Michigan University Men’s Soccer was recognized by the United Soccer Coaches with the Team Academic Award for the 2016 season. The award is the first for the men’s team, which had a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.05 in their first season of competition.

    MARQUETTE, Mich.—A generous donation was made in the name of Northern Michigan University Men’s Soccer Head Coach David Poggi to Surge for Water. The donation was used to build a well that brought clean water to the Alunga community in Kampala, Uganda.

The Wildcats continue their postseason run with a contest against No. 24 Saginaw Valley State University (12-3-1, 9-2-1 GLIAC) who entered the postseason with a first-round bye as the two-seed. Friday’s match is scheduled for 10 a.m. and will take place at Northwood University in Midland, Michigan.
