MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Men's Golf team for Northern Michigan University has made their 2018-19 season schedule available.
The Wildcats split the year in two, with a fall season that features five events, and a spring season that sees NMU compete six times.
The fall begins with the Wildcats hosting the NMU Match Play Invitational on September 8 and 9 at the Greywalls Golf Course in Marquette, Michigan. The next weekend, the team heads to Big Rapids and the Katke Golf Course to take part in the Bulldog Invitational. On September 24 and 25, NMU visits Findlay, Ohio and the Findlay Country Club for the Findlay Invitational.
The TPC Michigan Golf Course in Dearborn, Michigan will host the Wildcats in the Motor City Invitational and the fall season wraps up at the Kohler Classic at the Whistling Straights in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on October 22 and 23.
In the spring, NMU returns to action for the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference versus Great Midwest Athletic Conference event in Port St. Lucie, Florida at the Bushwood Golf Course from March 7-9.
The team returns to the Midwest on March 16 and 17 for the Saginaw Valley State University Invitational at the Cherry Blossum Invitational in Georgetown, Kentucky. The following weekend, March 24 and 25, NMU will play in the GLIAC South Invitaitonal in Lexington Kentucky at the UK Club.
To open April, the Wildcats head to Noblesville, Indiana and the Purgatory Golf Course on PApril 6-8 for the Midwest Regional. The next week NMU returns to the Katke Golf Course for the Cats Vs. Dogs Duel on April 14-15.
Northern Michigan concludes the year with the GLIAC Championships from April 20-22 at Gull Lake in Augusta, Michigan.
The men's golf team is expected to return nearly every member of this year's squad and will look to take the experiences they learned this season to continue to improve in the GLIAC as well as on the national stage.
