BAY CITY, Mich. – Three members of the Northern Michigan University men's basketball team have been named to one of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) post-season teams. Marc Renelique was named to the GLIAC North Division All-Conference First Team while teammate Raymont McElroy was a second team selection. Chris Warner was named to the GLIAC North Division All-Defensive Team.
Renelique, the senior from Montreal, Quebec, led the 2009-10 Wildcats by averaging 17.3 ppg which was the sixth best in the GLIAC. He led the GLIAC in three-pointers made by averaging 3.2 per game (77-189). Renelique was second in the conference in free throw percentage with .887 percent (55-62).
McElroy, the sophomore from Milwaukee, Wis., was second on the team and seventh in the GLIAC in scoring as he averaged 16.9 ppg. He led the 'Cats with 100 assists for the season as that ranked him sixth in the conference (3.8 apg). McElroy was sixth in the GLIAC for the 2009-10 season in assist-turnover ratio (1.5 ratio).
The final 'Cat selected was Chris Warner, the senior from Montreal, Quebec. He led the 'Cats with 41 steals for the season. Warner was eighth in the GLIAC in steals (3.8 spg).
