The features are due to be released approximately every two weeks in accordance with the corresponding athletic seasons. Each feature will touch on student-athletes and their interesting and unique journeys at Northern Michigan University.

    MARQUETTE, MICH. – The Northern Michigan University Women’s Basketball team lead #6 Lewis University for three quarters but the ranked Flyers outscored the Wildcats in the fourth quarter to defeat NMU 58-50 in the final game of 2018 for the women’s basketball team.

    Marquette, Mich.—Northern Michigan University Men’s Ice Hockey (8-10-0, 7-4-0-0 WCHA) earned a 4-1 victory over Ferris State University (4-12-1, 2-8-1-0 WCHA) in the Berry Event Center. The two teams will meet again on Saturday before a two week break for the holidays.
  • Hoof Named USC Scholar All-America

    MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University Men's Soccer senior defender Kevin Hoof (Maple Grove, Minnesota) was named NCAA Division II Second Team Scholar All-America by the United Soccer Coaches. Hoof was also named to the USC NCAA Division II Men's Scholar All-North/Central Region Team for the second-consecutive season earlier this week.

The Wildcats will face the University of Southern Indiana Tuesday and follows it Wednesday afternoon by facing the #1 ranked team in NCAA Division II, Bellarmine.
