Tricia Bush was elevated to Associate Athletic Director for Campus Recreation on April 6, 2015.
Bush began her full-time career at Northern Michigan University in 2002 as the Assistant Programming Manager for the Recreational Sports Department. Bush manages and facilitates programming of intramurals, spring break and summer youth camps, special event programming, website design, marketing and the member services office.
Bush originally joined the Rec Sports Staff in the winter of 1998, as an undergrad. During that time she held a wide range of positions within the department including; member services, kids camp counselor, special event programming, and intramural coordinator. She received her undergraduate degree in Business Management in 2002. Bush also graduated from the Lake Superior Leadership Academy in 2004, a program offered through the Lake Superior Community Partnership improving individual leadership and service as a liaison within the Marquette area. Additional responsibilities over her 13-year career span include supervision of Fitness, Facility, and Outdoor Recreation programming areas. Bush also completed her Master’s Degree in Training, Development and Performance Improvement through NMU in December 2014.
Outside of work Bush has been an active board member of the Young Professional Group: 40 Below. She is also a professional member of NIRSA and ACIS. Bush holds official certifications in Soccer and Softball as well as CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Bush is from Marquette, and a Marquette Senior High School Class of ’97 alum. She is also a wife to Matthew (NMU ‘02) and has two sons. She enjoys baking, chocolate, being outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
